Dr. Vince Bergquist was born in Columbus, Georgia.  He received a B.S. degree from Emory University and an M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. 

After internship, he completed his orthopedic residency at the Medical College of Georgia.  He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. 

He is currently chief of orthopedics at CRMC and has served on many hospital committees.  He has a strong interest in improving patient care and outcomes. 

 His primary interests are sports medicine, total joint replacement, shoulder, and arthroscopic surgery.

 
  Happily married, Dr. Bergquist and his wife, Dixie have three children: one a Ph.D. in statistics, one an MD, and one a petroleum engineer.  He and his wife live on a farm with 5 horses, 7 geese, 4 dogs, 1 cat , 1 canary and 3 gold fish.  He enjoys reading, computers, and driving a horse and buggy in his spare time.  Dr. Bergquist is active in a local Baptist church.  He and his wife host a Precept Bible Study which meets in their home each week.
